complete solution for working with digital cameras. No other software is
needed to create brilliant images from your camera! All functions
required from input via processing to printing output - SilverFast DC
handles it all!
The Virtual Light Table
"VLT" provides the photographer with the essential working space to
organize, manage, and process digital images. In one place, the
photographer can view all images as thumbnail, search for images, create
image archives, attach comments to images, generate a contact sheet of
the complete work space, and print single images at high resolution. For
each image, the photographer can also retrieve critical EXIF
information from his digital image files. A special feature of the
Virtual Light Table is its unique "Zoom" function. To get a complete
impression of a given image, the user can monitor the image at larger
size in the overview or the album window. In this mode, the mouse
pointer acts as a virtual zoom and shows the desired image area at full
resolution in the "Zoom Area" window. The user can utilize this control
to evaluate the 1:1 sharpness and details within the image.
High-end version for 48bit RAW data
processing (High Dynamic Range Imaging) with JobManager, 48 bit
color-corrected output, Virtual Light Table and much more (optional IT8
calibration) The HDR Studio version comes with all features of HDR and
DCPro AACO, JPEG 2000, USMPlus, Clone Tool, PrinTao and optional
SilverFast PhotoProof.
In order to save
RAW data with extended dynamic range (HDR - High Dynamic Range), the
48bit TIFF format and the CAMERA RAW format was developed. Even scanners
or cameras with only 30 or 36 bit capability generate their maximum
output range in this format. Regardless of the effective dynamic range
supplied, the file will always become a 48 bit file. Normal scanning
software saves images into a 24 bit file, discarding the extra
information created by the scanner. 48 bit files retain all of the
information supplied.
SilverFast HDR
Software enables the user to read and process 48 bit RAW files without
being connected to a scanner. In HDR, all SilverFast tools are
available: Defining Output Size and Resolution, Auto-Adjust of
Highlight/Shadow, Three Part Histogram, Gradation Curves, Selective
Color Correction, Unsharp Masking, Color Cast Removal Slider, Color
Separation, CMYK-Preview and more.
Printers,
especially multifunction devices, depend significantly on a good
